Ultimate guide Programming the Sky Remote Control

And Code Book

The SatCure Guide to programming Sky Remote Control Handsets tells you everything you need to know about the subject. Also deals with fixing a faulty sky remote.

In conjunction with the SatCure Code Book, the Guide enables you to select a code and program it into your Sky Remote so that it operates your TV set. (Some codes for audio equipment also included.)

Why should I pay for this list of over 1500 TV model codes?

Typing codes into a spreadsheet is mind-numbingly boring and takes weeks. I can't even listen to music because my brain can't cope with the additional input and I make mistakes. So the only sound is my tapping the keys. In addition, it's a task that will never be completed. As kind people send more codes, I type in the updates and upload the new list.

So the weeks of work have turned into years - I've been doing this since 2005. I deserve to be paid a few pennies by each of you. I don't ask a lot.

But all of this would not be possible without the generous help of so many of you. Those who give a little time to send me their codes, those who point out errors and those of you who pay for my work. I thank you all.

If you are reading a pirate copy of my list, it will probably be out of date. Please show your appreciation by going to http://www.The-Cool-Book-Shop.co.uk and buying the latest version and/or some other eBook that looks useful.

Where is MY model code?

If your specific model isn't listed then it's probably a brand new one that hasn't been reported yet. When you determine the code, please go to our web site form and fill in the details to help others.

There's a strong possibility that the code from a similar model will work so try them all. Please read the additional notes about inputting codes. Some remotes are very fussy and you might have to try more than one button sequence, dependent on your revision of remote control.

Some "Brands are TV sets from well known manufacturers that have been "rebranded". You can see clues to this in the codes list. For example, any TV listed as using the code 0206 was almost certainly made by LG. One with 121, 1221 or 093 was made by Sharp. So if codes listed for your brand of TV match those used by a well-known maker, your TV might also come from the same factory, so try all the codes listed for that maker.

In some cases you may have to buy a newer revision Sky remote.

In the worst instance, your TV has been imported from a country that doesn't have Sky or it's so new that Sky hasn't included its code in their latest remote. In that case, if you've tried every other possibility, you'll have to write to Sky with details of your TV and ask them to include it in the next revision of Sky remote. Unfortunately, your TV may have died before the next revision remote is manufactured.

One possible workaraound is to buy a "learning remote" and teach it every button code for your TV and your Sky Digibox. This is not a cheap option but it's one that a lot of people choose.

Special offer

You'll probably need Both eBooks so we give discount if you choose the special offer option to buy both together.

What is an "eBook" anyway?

An "eBook" is actually a computer file which uses "Portable Document Format" developed by Adobe.

Almost all computers already have a free program called "Acrobat Reader" to view or print out these books.

But buying things on the Internet isn't safe!

Paypal takes your payment details on a secure server that nobody else can access. They never leave the server. They don't get emailed. There is no possibility that anyone else will get your details.

What if the eBook is no use to me?

We give a no-quibble money-back guarantee. Simply send an email to The Cool Book Shop stating "I have erased all copies of your (title) eBook. Please give me a full refund". We will do this right away.

So how soon will you send my eBook?

We don't send it. If you pay by Paypal, without omitting any important details (such as your name!), the "shopping cart" will automatically send you to a web page address where you can download your eBook immediately!

But you are thinking to yourself, "I can get this information simply by searching the Internet." Well, maybe, but here it is all in one place; why bother? And, although a lot of the information is out there somewhere, how long will it take you to find it and collate it so you can understand it? Bear in mind that there is also a lot of BAD information out there. People are probably well-intentioned but they just plain get it WRONG. You can't trust it. And a lot of the information USED to be correct but now it's out of date - so it's wrong. Why not get the right information right now?

Or perhaps you can find a pirate copy that you don't have to pay for; or a cheaper copy on Ebay? Well, maybe you can, but it will be ILLEGAL and OUT OF DATE. Which means the information is wrong. Worse than worthless, because it's misleading. It will waste your valuable time. You might even buy something you don't need.

I keep this eBook updated. Every time I hear of a change, I rewrite the eBook. And you get free lifetime updates when you buy it!

So if you want the most up to date information...

You are probably asking yourself: "How does he know about this stuff anyway? How can I trust him to get it right? Is it worth what he's asking? And why should I pay for freely available information anyway?

OK, I'm a 62 year old university qualified Electronics Engineer. I've repaired over 25,000 satellite receivers before I retired from the repair business. I have countless friends who are aerial installers and TV engineers. For three years I was Technical Manager for the biggest satellite TV distribution warehouse. I've written and published REAL printed books which cost a lot more than this one. I get people writing to me with information every week and I answer a lot of questions about TV each day, too. I write most of the "Troubleshooter" pages in "What Satellite & Digital TV" magazine and I've written articles for other magazines, too.

Benefit from my knowledge now!

Why should you pay? Because I've spent months of my time researching and checking this information. It took weeks to compile it and to gather photographs to illustrate it. I update it frequently and those people who bought the original 32 page version get the updates FREE.

So here's your chance to...
