Fiona's Letters

TAFE Motor Mechanic Training Course for Girls

Post Script

I'm considering marketing rather than plain sales admin again - I was more or

less doing that anyway at the office as part of my unlisted duties.

I considered it would be stupid to stick with this and pretend I could tolerate

this kind of routine for years on end when I simply couldn't. I'm the first to

admit an error of judgement - better to recognise that now than 2 or more

years down the track! I'll try to get a job a little closer to home, though - the

office where I worked previously is over an hour's travel each way despite the

fact it's only 30km's away! Deadlines are fine by me - I'm used to those :)

The pressure used to get pretty crazy at the office but at least I know what I'm

in for with that line of work and it is a bit more stimulating.

My cousin did a similar thing a couple of years back - he got out of

advertising for 6 months and ran his own house cleaning service. He enjoyed

the break and was better at his next office job as a result so there's no 'shame'

in getting out of the loop for a short while.

My results came in yesterday.

I scored distinctions on all tested modules and passes for the others that were

not tested, so couldn't have gotten any higher than that.

:)
